《衛報》攜手《紐約時報》　公開史諾登機密文件

【綜合報導】英國《衛報》(The Guardian)表示將提供美國《紐約時報》(New York Times)部分史諾登持有的敏感文件，共同對抗政府施壓，繼續揭發政府不願公開的秘辛。
 
由於英國政府要求《衛報》交出關於英國情報機構「政府通信總部」（Government Communications Headquarters，GCHQ）的所有文件，《衛報》表示迫於受到政府施壓，決定和《紐約時報》合作，處理史諾登提供的關於GCHQ的敏感文件。
 
由於美國記者受到憲法第一修正案，保障言論自由的保護，政府不得干預未出刊的新聞，透過《紐約時報》，史諾登的機密文件將可自由公開。
