疑久病厭世　安養中心男子墜樓亡

【吳國仲／台北報導】昨天深夜11時許，新莊區傳出1起跳樓事件，1名住在中正路安養中心的周姓男子(58歲)，疑似因久病厭世，自己從安養中心2樓的窗戶爬出，墜落到地面。警消獲報後立即出動，將已失去呼吸、心跳的周男送醫，但經醫院急救仍宣告不治。
 
警消初步調查，8月份從長庚轉院過來的周男，有駝背壓迫到胸腔的症狀，因此長期需要呼吸器維生。安養中心院長表示，事發當時，有護理師看到周男爬上窗出，趕緊與另1名男病人一起拉住周男，但還是抓不住，周男因而墜地。針對詳細事發經過，警方將調閱安養中心內部監視器來釐清。
