【陳怡妏／綜合外電報導】泰國度假勝地芭達雅（Pattaya）3日驚傳渡輪翻覆意外，一艘雙層渡輪載約200名遊客從格蘭島開回芭達雅，因引擎熄火引發乘客恐慌，紛紛從1樓甲板跑到2樓，導致渡輪翻覆，造成包括1名香港男遊客在內7人罹難，上百傷。

警方稱渡輪只能容納130到150人，卻載了約200人，當局派潛水伕持續搜尋。目擊者指渡輪超載且沒有足夠救生裝置，泰國警方正追捕落跑的船長。雖才發生重大船難，芭達雅渡輪業者4日仍照常營業。
