歐洲太空總署20日將喚醒已沈睡31個月的「羅塞塔號」無人太空船，準備今年8日進行與C-G彗星會合的歷史性任務，使這項雄心萬丈的太空探險進入最緊張階段。

這艘探測船是在2004年發射升空，2011年6月達到預定的距太陽最遠處，關閉所有系統進入沈睡，以節省能源，因為太陽遠得無法為其太陽能板提供足夠能量。

探測船上的電腦預定20日格林威治時間10時把它喚醒，然後得花將近六小時啟動和測試所有系統。由於距離太遠，地球必須等探測船發出一切正常的無線電訊45分鐘後才能收到。
