Pixar用來製作動畫的軟件《RenderMan》，過去其他公司如果想用，Pixar當然要收錢。不過，如果你純粹是動畫愛好者，想用Pixar的技術自家製作動畫，現在有個超級好消息：Pixar將免費提供《RenderMan》給非商業用途人士使用。

Pixar此舉可謂一舉兩得，一來可以為動畫作育英才，二來又可以吸引人才開發《RenderMan》，相信未來《RenderMan》的技術將更上層樓。（國際中心／綜合外電報導）
