Robin van Persie一記魚躍式頭錘破門，不但幫荷蘭扳平戰局，也粉碎西班牙門將Iker Casillas挑戰紀錄的機會。

被破門之前，Casillas在世界盃477分鐘未丟球，在世界盃記錄名列第三，名列史上第一的是前義大利門將Walter Zenga的517分鐘。

原本賽前各界預估西班牙可能以1球勝出或和局收場，也代表Casillas非常有可能一舉超越Zenga成為世界盃最長時間不丟球的門將。

不過在van Persie進球後，西班牙也兵敗如山倒，最後1：5落敗，Casillas挑戰機會的希望也就此落空。
