雖然今年頂級新秀Joel Embiid因腳傷影響選秀身價，「選秀大年」的狀元籤依舊相當熱門，光是檯面上就有3支球隊有意爭搶。

3支球隊分別是費城七六人、奧蘭多魔術、猶他爵士，都是今年「樂透區」的球隊。

根據《ESPN》報導，七六人打算以大前鋒Thaddeus Young、今年第3順位選秀權和克里夫蘭騎士交易狀元籤，但騎士沒興趣。

較有可能成交的是魔術提出的第4、第12順位選秀權和得分後衛Arron Afflalo，該報導指稱這個包裹相當吸引騎士注意。

在騎士希望找回昔日救世主「小皇帝」LeBron James的大前提下，Afflalo確實能成為他的得力助手。
