歐盟今天下午針對中國大陸國台辦主任張志軍訪台一事發表聲明，除對張志軍訪台一事表示歡迎外，更鼓勵兩岸繼續擴大雙邊合作與聯繫，對區域和平與穩定作出貢獻。

歐盟外交事務暨安全政策高級代表艾希頓 (Catherine Ashton)在聲明中就張志軍訪談、並與我國陸委會主委王郁琦展開第二度會面表示歡迎。

聲明中指出，歡迎中國負責台灣事務最高官員首度訪台，形容這次活動展現了自二○○八年以來兩岸和平進展的動力。
