警：休士頓醫院非遭挾持父憂兒病鎖門

美國德州當局表示，稍早休士頓傳出男子在醫院挾持至少兩名人質，但現在警方認為，應該只是1名擔心兒子病情的父親，把自己和兒子關在病房裡，並非「挾持」事件。

「紐約時報」引述「美聯社」報導，哈立斯警長辦公室指出，在湯堡地區醫療中心（Tomball RegionalMedical Center）的1名病患父親，今晚因擔心兒子醫療狀況，把自己和兒子關在醫院的加護病房內。警長辦公室表示，不清楚男子是否帶有武器。

湯堡市位於休士頓西北方約50公里。當局稍早表示，男子可能挾持至少2名人質。

警長辦公室說，疏散區域僅病房周邊區域，並未疏散整間醫院人員。
