改善治療歐巴馬將公布精確醫學計畫

美國總統歐巴馬今天將提議，由美國政府投入2.15億美元從事「精確醫學」研究，支持者表示，此一領域能夠改善癌症與糖尿病等疾病的治療。

這筆資金部分將運用在蒐集100萬名志願者的基因、化學、生活方式與其他資料。

科學家相信，根據分子病因而非症候，龐大資料庫可對疾病做更完善分類，並為病患提供專屬治療方法，取代「一體適用」的療方。

這筆經費的絕大部分（2億美元），將撥給國家衛生研究院（National Institutes of Health）及其附屬機構國家癌症研究所（National Cancer Institute）。

白宮聲明指出：「大多數醫學治療都是為『一般病患』打造。因此...這些療法對某些病人很有效，但對其他人無效。」

聲明另表示：「精確醫學的進步已產生強有力的新發現，以及數種為別具特性者打造的新療法。」
