2013第2屆IBAF世界盃少棒錦標賽，捷克隊首日雖然就遭遇日本震撼教育，以0比15提前結束比賽，不過，抱持學習心態的捷克，除了希望透過比賽增加經驗，也希望多多認識台灣棒球以外的文化。
喜歡探險的捷克總教練Filip Prochazka和另一位教練，兩人在18日一早就自行前往水果攤買西瓜和香蕉，希望可以讓球員消暑解渴，「在歐洲比賽時，都會習慣買西瓜給球員吃，來到台灣氣候濕熱，加上球員早餐也都愛吃薯條，所以依照傳統，買了西瓜跟香蕉。」Filip說。
總教練Filip在5年前結束職棒生涯，開始帶領少棒球員，身兼體育老師和地理老師的Filip透漏，在比賽結束後，將在台灣多停留兩個禮拜的時間，和即將來台的老婆探索台灣。
「我們計劃去花蓮太魯閣，球員的話，如果有空會想帶他們去夜市逛逛，」這位擁有探索精神的總教練還打趣地說，「假使真的成行，會想跟球員玩遊戲，看誰最快收集10種捷克沒有的食物。」
