香蕉莖抽絲來做衫　原民工藝好吸睛

【王文傑／花蓮報導】花蓮市公所今天上午在花蓮遠東百貨舉辦原住民手工藝展，豐濱鄉新設部落的噶瑪蘭族將香蕉樹假莖，透過曬、割、揉等步驟抽絲製衣，一件件冬暖夏涼的香蕉衣展覽吸引民眾目光，主辦單位特別製作8米長香蕉絲彩帶剪綵，為活動增添熱鬧。現場有女童淘氣將香蕉絲當頭飾，民眾笑說：「好可愛喔！」新社部落香蕉絲工作坊負責人潘朝成說，當地族人用香蕉絲製衣至少有３百年歷史，老傳統也有新變化，設計師配合工藝家未來將攜手朝國際服裝舞台邁進。
