【綜合報導】江西一名農民最近在村旁河道挖出一根長達24公尺、直徑1.5公尺、重80噸的古墓，懷疑是烏木，因烏木價值不菲，有人預測價值可能高達數億元人民幣。消息傳 出，不但周圍村民都前來搶烏木，當地政府也表示該烏木屬國有，將烏木充公。

挖出烏木是江西修水縣39歲農民梁財，他今年6月投入9萬多人民幣，費了好大一番功夫才將烏木挖出，經江西省野生動植司法鑑定中心鑑定，確定該烏木原木為秋楓，不過樹齡及價值還尚待研究，政府單位獲知後，將烏木運到廠房放置，並用磚砌牆圍起，派專人看管，防民眾再搶奪破壞。

梁財對此表示難以接受，認為那是他自己挖到的東西，應該歸他所有，但按中國民法規定所有權人不明的埋藏物、隱藏物及地下礦產資源為國有，不過也有律師表示烏木不屬於不明埋藏物，不應受此規範，也因此引發國家奪寶的爭議。
