請問郵局小包可以寄食物嗎？

想要寄一些東西，因為重量不是很重，用包裹寄感覺很不划算，
沒有寄過小包沒概念，仔細看過中華郵政網站的說明了，還是不太清楚，
又不想到郵局問（有點遠，而且窗口人員通常很忙也不方便問太多），
想來詢問有經驗的人。

是要寄到大陸的，食物類的東西也可以用小包方式寄送嗎？
說明上小包的寄送是跟信函差不多的感覺，那包裝呢？
如果我不是用信封而是個四四方方的盒狀體，這樣也能寄小包嗎？
小包的內容物有沒有什麼限制？
（假設我把一些大大小小零零散散的糖果塞進信封變鼓鼓的，也可以嗎？）
（我所知道的是不能有通訊性質類？還有其他規定嗎？）
