旅美投手王建民4日清晨返台，他未來的路怎麼走？繼續留在美國、轉赴日本職棒發展，或是回台灣加入中華職棒。4日建仔返台之後，可望獲得比較明確的答案。

王建民在今年3月經典賽（WBC）表現精采，尤是是在東京巨蛋的八強賽對日本之戰，先發6局被擊出6支安打，沒失分，中華隊最後雖延長10局以3比4輸球，不過建仔的表現獲肯定。

經典賽結束後，王建民仍選擇前往美國發展，並與洋基隊簽小聯盟合約，6月初轉往藍鳥隊，並在6月12日首度登上大聯盟，後因表現不佳，7月初第1次遭DFA（指定讓渡），建仔選擇繼續留在藍鳥3A，8月底建仔第2次上大聯盟，先發1場，再因表現不佳，再次遭DFA。王建民今年在大聯盟戰績是1勝2敗、防禦率7.67。

以王建民今年在美職的表現，明年再赴美發展，想得到好合約的機率不大，因此國內不少棒界人士，例如兄弟象總教練謝長亨都呼籲建仔，在這個最關鍵的時刻返台加入中華職棒，幫助台灣棒運的發展，作出最大貢獻。
