醫學突破　隱形眼鏡輸送藥水

【周佩萱╱綜合外電報導】美國哈佛大學醫學院和麻省理工學院合作研究，研發出全球首款可定量輸送眼藥水的隱形眼鏡，以治療青光眼。

這款隱形眼鏡在鏡片一角存放眼藥水，可持續定量輸送藥水長達一個月。目前這款隱形眼鏡還在測試階段，不過對治療青光眼，可說是一大突破，傳統滴眼藥水的方式，無法有效輸送藥水，透過隱形眼鏡，將可解決這個問題，未來不單是青光眼，其他需要眼藥水治療的眼疾，同樣能獲得有效改善。

青光眼雖不會傳染但會遺傳，而且還有導致失明的風險，由於眼睛內的排水口堵塞，房水(維持眼壓和供給眼內組織養分的液體)，即會積存在眼睛內使眼壓升高，壓迫視神經，進而傷害視神經，使部份視野喪失，造成青光眼。
