台灣大學名譽教授林文月獲第3回日本研究功勞賞，代表在日本文學研究上有優越成就，明天將在日本東京受獎。

日本人間文化研究機構的「第3回日本研究功勞賞」，由林文月獲獎。日本交流協會說明，這項獎章主要表揚與日本相關的文學或語言、歷史或民俗、民族、文化、環境等的海外研究者。

林文月是日中比較文學的創始者之一，也是目前活躍的第一人，在中國唐代文學如何影響日本平安文學的研究領域上留有優越成就。另外，除了「源氏物語」和「枕草子」等平安女流文學的中文翻譯上得到崇高評價外，也翻譯川端康成等近代日本文學。
