東芝公司（Toshiba）社長田中久雄表示，電視部門下半年可望達成獲利目標，該公司也正增產商務用個人電腦（PC），以改善獲利。

田中久雄26日接受訪談時說，東芝正在裁減電視和PC部門的職位。

他說，東芝也正與Iberdrola公司、英國政府以及GDF Suez洽談，尋求收購英國核電集團NuGeneration的多數股權，希望取得逾50%、但還不到100%的股權。東芝在日本爆發福島核災、導致國內核能發電比重降低後，希望掌握海外需求。

田中久雄表示，東芝也可望從中國獲得核能反應爐的新訂單。
