大陸公安部11日表示，在去年清理79萬個重複戶口的基礎上，今年上半年全大陸清理註銷重複戶口27.1萬個，查辦偽造買賣戶口證件案件149起，已查處責任民警和輔警。

由於先前爆出不少「房姐」透過與公安警方勾結，一人擁有多個身分證，便以購置房產避免被查，導致大陸身分證管理受到質疑；大陸公安機關承諾：自己和家人絕不持有多個戶口、身份證，絕不為任何人辦假身份證、假戶口。
