新華網報導，日前，最高人民檢察院經審查決定，依法對四川省政協原主席李崇禧以涉嫌受賄罪立案偵查並採取強制措施。案件偵查工作正在進行中。

中共中央紀委網站今也發布，日前，中共中央紀委對四川省政協原主席李崇禧嚴重違紀問題進行了立案審查；經查，李崇禧利用職務上的便利為他人謀取利益，通過其親屬收受巨額賄賂。

李崇禧的上述行為已構成嚴重違紀違法，並涉嫌受賄犯罪。依據「中國共產黨紀律處分條例」等有關規定，經中央紀委審議並報中共中央批准，決定給予李崇禧開除黨籍、開除公職處分；將其涉嫌犯罪問題及線索移送司法機關依法處理。
