彰化縣動物防疫所今天晚間到大城鄉1處肉鵝場進行撲殺作業，記者到場拍攝遭到酒醉業者親戚阻擋，表示媒體胡亂報導造成業者二度傷害，警方拉起封鎖線，約30名防疫所人員全副武裝進入鵝場，將以二氧化碳使鵝隻窒息方式撲殺。

動物防疫所指出，檢驗結果確定這場鵝隻感染H5禽流感，但種類仍未確定，不過因為有高死亡率，仍決定今晚就撲殺。

業者看到辛苦飼養的鵝隻全數被撲殺，感到非常心痛，並表示辛辛苦苦養大的鵝是他們過年和孩子下學期學費來源，如今全都泡湯，「你們無法想像我的壓力有多大」。
