嘉邑城隍廟百年香爐失而復得

嘉義市定古蹟嘉邑城隍廟駕前「吉勝堂」，34年前被偷走百年香爐，遭人網拍，日前被高雄市高姓古物收藏家相中購得，發現香爐上有「嘉義綏靖侯駕前吉勝堂」字樣，讓他心有不安，特地到城隍廟擲筊是否歸還廟方，結果連得3個聖筊，高姓收藏家今天上午將香爐歸還廟方，放下內心罣礙，直呼城隍尊神及百年香爐有靈性。

城隍廟董事長葉源助說，香爐是城隍廟駕前什家將「吉勝堂」所有，34年前遺失，是貴重純錫製品，又是城隍廟所有，價值高，研判可能是大家樂盛行，有信徒拿走香爐典當簽賭，廟方遍尋不著，失而復得，感到很開心。
