伊斯蘭國（IS）昨下最後通牒，揚言24小時內再殺日本人質，不過根據日本新聞網（JNN）報導，約旦當局有關人士受訪時透露，「不久後，應該會有好消息吧」。

另據朝日及富士電視台報導，阿拉伯方面與以色列的通訊社，都刊登同意換囚的消息。

不過日本放送協會（NHK）報導，日本外務副大臣中山說，狀況依然嚴峻，仍持續蒐集、分析資訊。

他說，暫時不便回答救援後藤健二的進度，當局持續努力不放棄，希望後藤早日獲釋。

伊斯蘭國好戰分子原脅持湯川遙菜與後藤健二兩日本人質，其中伊斯蘭國證實已處決湯川遙菜，昨天下最後通牒，若不答應他們所提的換囚條件，24小時內將處決後藤健二。
