台東縣原本僅在動物防疫所內可為動物注射狂犬病疫苗，但東河鄉興昌村爆發染病鼬獾咬傷人類後，今天縣府下鄉到東河鄉興昌村村辦公室設疫苗施打站，當地犬隻主人多數緊張帶狗報到，至今天下午4點收站，已有240隻犬接受施打。

農業處長吳慶榮表示，明天施打站巡迴到東河鄉都蘭村，這幾天都會在東河鄉內各村巡迴，就近幫助當地犬隻施打疫苗，而後施打站會巡迴北上成功鎮、長濱鄉，再至海端、池上、關山等地區。

吳慶榮表示，家中若有飼養貓犬已超過1年未施打狂犬病疫苗，務必要帶到施打站或自行到動防所施打疫苗。
