風雨停歇果農整理果園 遭大樹壓死

潭美颱風過境，二十二號中部地區風雨就已經停歇，偶而只有一陣小雨，在梨山卻有一名果農因整理果園造成不幸死亡！五十八歲的孫姓農友，颱風過後前往果園整理，鋸樹到一半時，梧桐樹斷裂倒下，孫姓果農遭到大樹壓住頭部，工人到晚間等不到老闆回來，前往果園查看，才發現已經斷氣的孫姓農友。

曾經擔任鄉民代表的孫姓果農，二十二號下午，利用颱風過境，風雨已經停歇之際，前往梨山里齡恩路的果園整理果樹，當時只有他一個人，他用電鋸要鋸斷一棵直徑三十公分的梧桐樹，可能鋸到一半時，梧桐樹斷裂，果農來不及反應，遭斷裂的樹幹壓住頭部，工人一直等到晚間沒看到人，前往果園查看，才發現人倒在果園中。和平分局梨山派出所在二十二號晚間八點四十分據報，前往查看，梨山所所長劉中平說，因為樹幹太重，分段鋸開之後，才將孫姓果農拉出來，果農早就沒有生命徵象。

梨山所副所長李明義、警員劉正明、王國鴻跟梨山消防隊及義消人員，在深夜合力將孫姓果農遺體沿著徒坡移置到梨山衛生所，二十三號，警方也通知山下的家屬前往處理並報請檢察官相驗。
