民進黨前黨主席謝長廷拋出黨主席不能參選總統論調，高雄市長陳菊上午對此表示，黨主席是否適合選總統？黨內不同的看法，她認為可以討論，並循著黨內的機制溝通協調。她說，民進黨是非常民主的政黨，所有的意見、聲音，都要透過黨內的機制，「我認為謝院長這個主張，可以討論」。
