狗是「口中美食」？還是「人類朋友」？今天是夏至，也是行之多年的廣西玉林市「荔枝狗肉節」登場的日子，但近來大陸動物保護人士呼籲廢除狗肉節，並有人到玉林市政府門前抗議。

法制晚報報導，上午11時左右，動保人士杜玉鳳在玉林市政府門口將印好的「玉林，我們今天為你哭泣」宣傳單舉起來，就被旁邊不明身份的人搶走了。

她找來紙和筆，重新寫了一份，又同樣被搶；隨後，動保人士跟當地人發生了爭執。

中國大陸中央電視台報導，多年以來廣西玉林有個習俗，那就是到了夏至這天時，要吃狗肉和荔枝，慢慢的越做越大，形成玉林「荔枝狗肉節」。

今年的夏至日，對於廣西玉林來說，不僅是一個節氣了，簡直就像是一個大考。許多愛狗人士跑到了廣西玉林，堅決要阻止人們吃他們心愛的狗。這個衝突愈演愈烈，並持續了一段時間。

要求取消玉林狗肉節的聲浪接踵而至，還有演藝圈的明星在微博呼籲愛護小狗，抵制玉林狗肉節，各種藝人領銜的愛狗公益影片，甚至是抵制玉林狗肉節的公益演出也陸續出現。

有大陸媒體這樣報導，廣西玉林吃不吃狗肉，成了這個夏天僅次於世界盃的第二件大事。(中央社)
