密蘇里州一名非洲裔青少年遭警方射殺後，引發群眾持續抗議，美國有線電視新聞網（CNN）主播邱契今天提出「為什麼警方不用水柱」說法，引來批評聲浪。

密蘇里州佛格森市（Ferguson）18歲非洲裔青少年布朗（Michael Brown），本月初遭到白人員警威爾森（Darren Wilson）開槍射殺。這個案件除了涉及警方是否濫權及過度使用武力，更挑動了美國族群議題的敏感神經，引發當地社區甚至全美各地抗議不斷。

CNN今天在一段現場討論節目中，討論格森市警方以催淚瓦斯驅離抗議群眾的作法是否妥當。白人女主播邱契（Rosemary Church）在節目中提問：「為什麼警方不用水柱，至少它不會（跟催淚瓦斯一樣）有同樣的效果。」

這段現場節目播出後，推特出現批評邱契的大量推文。不少網友指出，1960年代美國頻頻發生民權運動衝突之時，警方以強力水柱驅離非洲裔抗議民眾的畫面，迄今烙印在許多美國人民腦海，邱契顯然忽略了歷史的傷痛。

美國微軟國家廣播公司（MSNBC）數位導播史密斯（Jamil Smith）便在推文中寫道，邱契建議警方可以用水柱替代催淚瓦斯，「我想她是善意的，但實際上卻不是。」1030821
