統一獅28日全員到齊，正式展開春訓，新任打擊教練菲力浦也正式與球員見面，他說「首次到台灣，除了要適應環境，也會盡早認識每一位隊友，了解每一個打者的特性，將自己所學的棒球知識指導給每一個人，期待透過互動與選手們建立信任感」。

唐肇廷很好學，與菲力浦聊起今年設定目標「穩定打擊能力及長打率」，菲力浦觀察唐肇廷打擊特性，分析其優點和缺點，針對部分進行改進與建議，指導唐肇廷嘗試針對細節實際體驗去感受，了解差異性，並提醒保留自己本身的優勢，別為了改變忘記自己熟悉的好技巧。

唐肇廷表示「去年球季嘗試修正打擊姿勢，但成效似乎有限，今日透過教練菲力浦指導優缺，親自去體驗，希望今年球季成績能夠更加穩定，提升自己長打率」。
