亞太自貿區工作小組台灣順利加入

2015年亞太經濟合作會議（APEC）第1次資深官員會議，今天在菲律賓登場，台灣順利成為亞太自由貿易區（FTAAP）特別工作小組的一員，區域經濟整合進程上不缺席。

為期2天的APEC第1次資深官員會議，上午在馬尼拉以北約100公里的克拉克特區召開。

台灣代表團團長、外交部國際組織司司長周台竹在第1天會程結束後，向中央社表示，「台灣已確定是在FTAAP（Free Trade Area of the Asia Pacific）特別工作小組的裏面。」

這個特別工作小組將會針對FTAAP進行研究，預定在2016年年底提出結論。

周台竹說，成為特別工作小組的一員，有助台灣未來順利進入這個「非常重要的區域整合組織」。

FTAAP多年來一直是APEC內部的熱門議題，盼能邁向亞太經濟一體化，消除會員經濟體之間的貿易壁壘。

在去年11月落幕的2014APEC領袖峰會上，中國大陸主導的FTAAP路線圖獲得批准，意味著相關進程正式啟動。
