Sony Digital Paper DPT-S1 在推出之初開出 US$1,100 這個天價，雖然在去年十月時曾減至 US$999，但這個減價幅度其實很少，如果再減 US$200 你又會不會考慮呢？現在 Sony 在 US$999 這個基礎上，再減 US$200 至 US$799，即約 HK$6,200 / NT$24,720。對於一款主要用作看 PDF 的電子墨水閱讀器來說，這個價格仍然不親民，可能很多人會寧願買螢幕較小的 Kindle 或是其他平板呢。順帶一提，現在 Sony 已經讓非專業人士買到它，但目前仍然只在日本本土和美國出售，第三方零售商不一定會跟隨減價，所以大家要以上述新價錢買到它的話，仍需要依賴轉運服務。
