委內瑞拉以3比2擊敗強敵美國，最大的功臣正是先發投手Aaron Bracho，他主投4局，被敲出2支安打，2保送、9三振，單場最快球速更來到130公里，不過，這還不是Bracho最快的球速，他說：「之前在國內比賽時，最快球速大約有137公里。」
左右開弓的Bracho，僅僅12歲就擁有剛猛速球，總教練Rafel Herde表示，這樣的人才其實在委內瑞拉相當多，「這次海選當中，有不少像他能投這麼快的投手，但我們除了重視球技，紀律也很重要。」
Bracho雖然擔任投手表現精采，但他說自己的偶像是大聯盟克里夫蘭印地安人隊的Asdrubal Cabrera，「不想當投手，想跟Cabrera一樣成為游擊手。」Bracho表示。
總教練Rafel Herde也說，「在委內瑞拉有許多少棒的聯盟，最小從4歲就開始正規訓練，委內瑞拉大約有60%都在打棒球，或是喜歡棒球。」
