《MarketWatch》周二(23日)報導，高盛(Goldman Sachs & Co.)(GS-US)經濟學家Alec Phillips表示，下任美國聯準會(Fed)主席人選似乎最有可能在9月底或是10月初時出爐。
Phillips是根據檢視先前確認而做出上述預測的。
Phillips亦說，白宮可能等到9月17-18日Fed政策會議結束後才會宣布新主席是誰。
伯南克最近於2009年時的獲得提名是在任期屆滿之前4個月。
Phillips表示，確認過程可能會持續至少很長時間。
現任Fed主席伯南克(Ben Bernanke)的任期則將於明年元月底屆滿。
Phillips並表示參議院最終會確定誰是美國總統歐巴馬(Barack Obama)所選出來的人選。
近來，對於接替伯南克的可能人選也一直圍繞在Fed副主席Janet Yellen以及曾經擔任過美國財長的歐巴馬經濟顧問Lawrence Summers。
