億萬投資大亨伊坎(Carl Icahn)宣布握有加拿大能源生產商Talisman Energy Inc.的5.97%股權，激勵近來業績欠佳的Talisman，7日美股盤後股價暴衝8.94%至13.89美元。

彭博社和路透社報導，美國證交會文件顯示，伊坎斥資2.77億美元，購入6,160萬股的Talisman股票，成為該公司第2大股東。他有意與Talisman管理階層商討資產出售或企業重整等策略替代方案，也可能尋求加入董事會。

77歲的伊坎多次透過購股，逼迫企業高層改朝換代。2012年美國切薩皮克能源公司(Chesapeake Energy Corp.)的共同創辦人Aubrey McClendon遭逼宮下台，就是伊坎一手策畫。海上鑽探承包商Transocean Ltd.的5月大會上，伊坎也策動股東投票趕走原任主席Michael Talbert，轉而支持他提名人選。他近來也頻頻施壓蘋果，實施庫藏股，拉抬股價。

北美頁岩氣革命導致天然氣價格大跌，Talisman陷入艱苦掙扎。該公司計畫出售亞洲、北海、北海資產，或成立合資企業，挽救日益下滑的業績。
