世界黃金協會（WGC）週四發佈的一份行業報告顯示，第三季黃金需求大幅下滑21%至868.5噸，因實貨黃金基金賣出、印度購買減少抵消了珠寶、金幣和金條的銷量提升。WGC投資部董事總經理Marcus Grubb稱，黃金需求下降之勢料將在第四季有所緩解，因ETF基金的賣出步伐將放緩。今年迄今已有近700噸黃金流出ETF基金。

Marcus稱，相較去年4328噸的需求量，今年整體黃金需求將連續第二年下滑，今年底將減少5-10%。中國第三季消費黃金209.6噸，在總消費中佔到一大部份；黃金珠寶買需增加近三分之一，但金幣和金條需求減少8%至45.9噸。全年計，中國的黃金消費仍有望超過印度。
