【莊蕙嘉／綜合外電報導】英國19歲的年輕媽媽史金納和伴侶已育有一女，兩人感情去年陷入僵局時，她發現懷孕8周。史金納決定忍痛拿掉，就醫後服下2劑合法墮胎藥丸。
不料數月後她回診，醫師發現胎兒竟還活著，已5個月大且發育良好，似乎未受藥物影響。史金納和伴侶商量後，決定留下這個寶寶，預產期為今年5月。她說：「女兒是個小鬥士，我們不想再傷害她。」院方稱，藥物墮胎失敗機率約30分之1，此例仍屬罕見。
