台北市議會上午針對北捷隨機殺人事件處理善後情形及未來預防措施，進行專案檢討，市議員王世堅說，北捷平日誇說營運績效很好，出了事才知道有這麼多問題，要求北捷總經理譚國光應下台負責。

針對北捷隨機殺人案檢討，議員炮聲隆隆，批評北捷事件危機處理不當，凸顯出跨縣市通報、平時的維安演練不足，警力、保全人力等種種問題，北市議會警政衛生小組召集人徐佳青連署要求台北市長郝龍斌至議會進行專案報告。

對於北捷事件檢討，市警局和捷運公司表示，除了警力支援沒有時間表，未來將強化通訊設備，縮短捷運一旦發生危機事件的通報時間。
