日本中部的御嶽山，火山在上周六(9月27日)突然爆發後，救援人員已經找到了31具屍體。據報導，有生還者說，當時做好喪命準備。

御嶽山在毫無預警的情況下噴發，大約250人被困在山坡，但是大部分都安全下山。

中央社報導，生還者回憶火山噴發時的恐怖瞬間都餘悸猶存，表示「當時做好了喪命的準備」。倖存者衣物沾滿火山灰，驚恐說著，火山灰伴隨著大地低沉的轟鳴聲升起，眼前滿山美麗紅葉的風光一下子變成黑色。

據蘋果日報報導，中央氣象局局長辛在勤表示，這次御嶽山爆發屬氣體噴發，偵測不易。他說，登山客要前往火山區旅遊，一定要事先了解當地的預警資訊，因為很難透過環境變化察覺出火山即將噴發的跡象。
