陸軍特戰指揮部的下士李松霖休假期間見義勇為捉拿搶匪，國防部將予以表揚。此外，國防部初查服役於湖口裝甲旅的邱姓上兵涉案，國防部將秉「毋枉毋縱」原則，全力配合檢警調查。

竹南鎮博愛街一間銀樓下午1點50分左右遭搶，老闆追出銀樓大喊，在附近買東西的陸軍特種作戰指揮部20歲下士李松霖見義勇為，上前幫忙協助追緝搶匪，追了3條街後以柔道及擒拿術制服歹徒。

陸軍司令部晚間表示，李松霖下士於10日下午14時許休假期間，行經竹南市區聽聞民眾呼救，即發揮義勇精神制伏嫌犯送警。有關特戰指揮部李下士見義勇為優良義行，陸軍司令部部將公開表揚，以彰顯國軍愛民助民精神，足為全軍官兵效法。

另一方面，初查涉案人員服役於湖口裝甲旅邱姓上兵，陸軍司令部將秉「毋枉毋縱」原則，全力配合檢、警調查，全案現由苗栗縣竹南分局偵訊中。
