Sony 向 OnLive 收購餘下版權，後者將在月底結束營運

不要認為 Sony 是個只賣不買的公司，該買時還是會出手的。就像近年好事連連的 SCE（Sony Computer Entertainment）就向電端遊戲服務公司 OnLive 收購所持有的版權和資產。交易後，OnLive 的服務將會在 4 月 30 日正式停止運作，使用者資料也會被刪除，當然也不會再接受任何新的訂閱吧。但透過其服務購入的 Steam 遊戲則會在 Steam 伺服器上繼續。 OnLive 在官方 Twitter 上寫道：我們對於 OnLive 遊戲服務的結束感到非常傷心，但 Sony 收購了公司主要的部分之後並不打算繼續維持現狀的營運。

Sony 在 2012 年 7 月時也有類似的收購，當時以 3.8 億美元收購遊戲串流公司 Gaikai 並以其技術推出 PlayStation Now。說到 OnLive 的歷史，它可是起伏不斷，它曾在 2012 年被合組財團以 480 萬美元收購，然後負債達 3000 萬美元。幾年過後，在去年以雲端企業重新出發。但最後也逃不出結束的命運，希望 Sony 能善用新入手的版權，讓各位玩家有更好的遊戲體驗吧。
