有關CSS樣式指定路徑相關問題

想請教 
有關css 樣式路逕指定的寫法

例如 

<div class="modal-body">

<div class="row1">
<ul class="ul1">

<li class="li1">

在css style中

若指定 ,row1 .ul1 ,li1{  } 與 u1.li1{     } 不同差別是在於
如果其他段若有相關 u1. li1  css結構也會套用相同css樣式嗎?
是這樣理解嗎?

另外我有使用 bootstrap 樣式裡面有使用到  selectpicker
是放在某一個 li 下 , 

但樣式路逕去指定 某一個 selectpicker 的寬度 就會套用到另一個
底下 selectpicker 的寬度 , 這個指定上有辦法分開嗎?

 因為我已經認知在樣式上
.ul1 ,li1 .selectpicker{   } 去區別 ( 還是不是這樣使用的 )?

 真的請各位前輩指點一下 感謝
