美國「性學大師」維吉尼亞．強生（Virginia Johnson）辭世，享壽88歲。聖路易公共廣播電台（Saint Louis Public Radio）在華盛頓時間25日報導，「強生之子史考特（Scott）和強生入住的密蘇里州安養院都證實她的死訊。」
綜合媒體報導，強生是以科學研究人類性行為的先驅者，她與前夫、研究夥伴馬斯特斯（William Masters）的研究曾在美國掀起所謂的「性革命」。
出生於保守的摩門教家庭的強生，1957年於聖路易華盛頓大學邂逅比自己大10歲的婦產科醫生馬斯特斯。兩人於1971年結婚，1992年離異。
夫妻倆經過多年實驗室研究及對男女「性興奮」問題的測試，於1966年出版暢銷書「人類的性反應」（Human Sexual Response）及1970年出版「人類性功能障礙」（Human Sexual Inadequacy）。這兩本著作，為兩人在人類性行為研究領域的地位奠定了基礎。
此外，夫妻倆於1970年登上《時代雜誌》（Time）封面，此後，甚至有好多好萊塢巨星都上門尋求生活改善。
史考特（Scott）表示，母親過世前罹患多種疾病。但目前，死因仍未公開。
