【綜合報導】正當北半球經歷酷暑與暴雨成災時，正值冬天的南半球也有氣候異常現象。南美洲秘魯與玻利維亞二國，遭遇近十年最嚴重雪災，至少已造成3人喪生，包括一名75歲男子因屋頂積雪塌下而被壓死。

南美洲持續的低溫氣候，入冬至今已造成多人因低溫死亡，巴拉圭經濟損失嚴重，至少4000隻牛及30%榖麥也被凍死。
