芥末醬暗藏玻璃　英婦食用後喪命

【周佩萱╱綜合外電報導】芥末醬瓶中，竟暗藏多達30片玻璃碎片，英國一名68歲老婦，不知情吃下，最後居然因此身亡。
 
這起事故發生在今年3月14日，住在英國柏克郡的菲威斯里，那天在家享用牛排大餐，佐以英式芥末醬，吃到一半時喉嚨開始腫脹，導致她呼吸困難，先生描述當時情況表示：「她捉住自己的喉嚨，說嘴巴裡有一片玻璃，接著她把玻璃拿出來，看起來長逾3公分」，老婦在慌亂之下奪門而出倒在車道上，先生立刻報警求救，老婦送醫發現玻璃割破動脈，入院數天後宣告不治。
 
警方隨即展開調查，發現玻璃碎片來自芥末醬瓶中，但芥末醬瓶身完好如初，而且家中也沒有任何玻璃碎裂，無法判定玻璃碎片是從哪來，加上芥末醬瓶外的標籤已經老舊磨損，而且標籤和內容物也不符合，無法得知是從何購入，最後警方以意外死亡結案。
