埃及新總理馬赫萊卜說，新政府當務之急是維護安全。去年7月民選總統穆希遭軍方推翻以來，軍警幾乎每天被襲擊。馬赫萊卜1日公布31人的新內閣名單，前任內閣在經濟凋敝、大罷工頻傳的民怨聲浪中倉卒下台。
