奈及利亞政府的移民部門15日於首都阿布賈的國家體育場舉行招聘考試，結果發生求職者踩踏事件，法新社記者表示他至少看到7具屍體，另有人受傷。

奈國年輕人失業率2011年高達23.9%。一名目擊者表示，體育場15日擠進數以萬計的求職者，當大批人湧向中央台時，踩踏發生。目擊者說，可容納六萬人的運動場僅開放一個入口。

倖存者羅斯瑪麗‧歐吉達說：「我無法想像踩踏在我身上的人數，只知道3名男子將我拉起。」
