賴比瑞亞總統瑟利夫公開警告民眾，不可私藏伊波拉病患，否則法律制裁。

南非新聞網站「時報即時消息」（Times LIVE）今天引述瑟利夫（Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf）報導，近日有人藏匿在自宅或教堂感染伊波拉病毒的病患不送醫。

賴比瑞亞鄰國獅子山共和國（Sierra Leone）政府上週也發出類似警告，提醒民眾有些病患自醫院逃逸，躲藏不接受治療，只會讓病情惡化。有些病患甚至攻擊醫護人員。

報導引述賴國衛生部表示，至6月29日止，賴比瑞亞已有90起病例，其中49人死亡。

瑟利夫公開呼籲民眾，必須以嚴肅態度對待伊波拉病毒。她說：「這個病毒是真實存在的，並且正在殺害我們的人民。感染與死亡數字還在持續上升，請人民必須採取必要預防措施，保護自己、家人與住宅社區。」

根據世界衛生組織（WHO）最新報告顯示，非洲西部地區已有367起伊波拉死亡病例。其中大部分在幾內亞（Guinea）。(中央社)
