【更新】不信屍骨化成灰　主祕小隊長一定要找到

中午市長陳菊到距現場一百餘公尺的前進指揮所，慰問家屬、慰勞搜救人員，並了解搜救進度，對於傳出所謂「屍骨燒成灰」的說法，劉耀文家屬擔心搜救工作暫停，陳菊承諾「一定會全力找到兩人下落」。

高雄市消防局主祕林基澤、小隊長劉耀文至今屍體未尋獲，搜救人員上午繼續在二聖、凱旋三路一帶，以徒手方式找尋。十幾名支援的國軍們，小心翼翼以鏟子、雙手挖開土石，但整個上午無具體進度。家屬默默燒著金紙，消防弟兄不斷湧到這區，喊「劉小！阿文！兄弟都在這兒，你有靈就讓大家快找到吧！」（王昭濱、劉文淵／高雄報導）
