水手「King-Felix」續推優質先發場次，Felix Hernandez在12日面對藍鳥之役，繳出7局失1分的表現，而水手打線則在6局大爆發，一舉灌進7分，終場就以11比1大勝藍鳥。

Hernandez在美國時間7月30日達成連14場先發都至少投7局，只丟2分以下的內容之後，表現仍未鬆懈，此役更在全場41168位球迷面前將記錄推進到16場，並讓球隊保有爭取第2張外卡的資格。

「場面真是精彩。」Hernandez說，「球迷數目令人難以置信，但他們確實是這場比賽的一部分，他們不只是為我，更是為整個球隊歡呼，讓我們球隊得到了許多的能量。」

Hernandez先發7局只被敲3支安打，投出8次三振，沒有任何保送，只在第4局被Jose Bautista轟出陽春砲失掉1分，順利拿下本季第13勝(3敗)，防禦率從1.97下修到1.95。

「我已經不知道要怎麼稱讚Felix了。」水手總教練Lloyd McClendon說，「他不斷向前邁進，而且在今晚給了我們一場好的表現，他真的非常棒。」
