路透報導，聯合國秘書長潘基文18日呼籲美國確保密蘇里州佛格森市示威者的權利。非裔青少年布朗上周遭白人警察槍殺死亡後，佛格森的示威十七日出現最暴力的一夜，美國也開始出動國民兵。

聯合國發言人杜加里克告訴記者：「秘書長呼籲當局確保人民和平集會與言論自由的權利受到保護。」
